Stories of the Storm
In producing this book, the members of the Hills Creative Alliance and those who have contributed stories, pay tribute to the people of Corhanwarrabul (Mount Dandenong) and acknowledge the elders past, present, and emerging.

The stories of the storm, and its long aftermath of challenges, are far too many to include in a small book, or even in in a long book, this small book just aims to remember and provide an opportunity for you to find out about some of the stories.
This is also a book of thanks - thanks to all those who helped the families, individuals and businesses that were badly affected by the devastating impact of the storm, and we also recognise that this impact still affects very many people.
There have been opportunities for local people to share through a number of consultations and reviews, and we hope to get these archived, as well as the more formal reports and information eg from EMV and other official bodies, as well as the press coverage.
As far as we know there has not been a case study about the storm and it's impact on the communities and forests on Mount Dandenong. This was such a difficult time, as we were in a time of Covid lockdown and the authorities also had to deal with the flooding caused by the storm on lower grounds.
